Cheating Death!
The above video By Dr. Robert White a neurosurgeon of Cleveland Medical Hospital (Ohio) shows a successful experiment of removing a brain from the body and keeping it alive. Are we nearing the era of integrating with machinery? Take Stephen Hawkins for example, a living Brain Only!
The reason being is that scientists believe your conscientiousness as in what you feel, how you think, your personality and everything related to YOU is linked and connected through your brain, so if you can keep that living then you can achieve immortality, or so the theory says.
The below documentary by discovery science shows a Russian experiment conducted in 1970 by Dr. Robert White where he tried to transplant the head of one monkey to the body of another and it turns to be a complete success.
The reason the experiment is conducted is that the idea if the body stops functioning this will lead the brain to die due to the fact oxygen flow stops. But
if a new body can be provided once the original body is in a state of decay, then the transplant of the new body might just add more time for life, that is as long as the brain isn't damaged or dies. Look at the video below to see the experiment that was conducted in 1970 by Dr. Robert White.
This Video shows another Russian experiment where a dog is kept alive for a few hours with only his head by the use of machines.
You might have noticed in the first video that after switching heads the monkey was paralyzed as the spinal chord cant be attached again. However, with Stem
Cell Research it just may be that this can be overcomed, even more brain cells might be re-created using stem cell possibilities.
I need not remind you this was all in 1970, this is about 40 years ago, if these experiments continued, how far are we today and what do we really know?
I personally don't look forward to being able to live forever, it's just that somethings might just prove to never be possible and thats for a good reason,
the reason that there will come a time when you might say, eternity, that's just a little to long for me. The creator (Allah) is wise for all that we face
and that might be for a good reason, I guess, thats where we can say "Just Becareful What You Wish For!"
